Our Catering Provider: Caterlink
Our school catering is provided by Caterlink, the preferred caterer for our Trust.
Food is served from our catering pods and main restaurant.

The school menu is rotated on a 3-week cycle. The dates for each week can be found on the menus below.
The current price of a meal deal is £2.61, following an increase on 2 October 2025. This pricing matches the pricing expected by the Department for Education, and is equivalent to the Free School Meals daily allowance. A meal deal includes a main meal, side and dessert.

Paying for School Meals
Parents/Carers can make online payments for items such as dinner money and school trips through the Arbor Parent App (or Arbor Parent Portal via a web browser).
Parents/carers need to ensure their child’s lunch account is topped up so it remains in credit.
Arbor Payments the only way of making payments to school.

School meals, snacks, packed lunches and refillable bottles
Your child may bring a packed lunch and snacks for break times, or they may choose to buy their meals and snacks from the restaurant.
All students should bring a refillable bottle to school every day to ensure they stay hydrated. Water stations are available around the school.
Payment for school meals and snacks is online only using your Arbor account.
Breakfast Club – free for all students
Breakfast Club is available to all students between 8am and 8.20am in the Restaurant, and includes free toast and juice for all students. Hot chocolate is also served on colder days.
Morning Break (15 minutes)
A snack menu is available during Morning Break. This is not included in the Free School Meal Allowance. If your child is in receipt of Free School Meals, please ensure you top up your child’s catering account on Arbor Parent in order to pay for snacks during break. Students may also bring their own snacks from home.
Lunch Break (40 minutes)
Students may bring a packed lunch from home or can choose from a variety of hot meals, baguettes and sandwiches from the restaurant.
Free School Meals
If you are in receipt of state benefits, your child may be eligible to receive Free School Meals. Click on the red button below to check the eligibility requirements and make an application for Free School Meals. If your child is transferring to the Academy from another school and they currently receive Free School Meals, you will need to make a new application.
If your child is eligible, we will update our records to ensure that your child receives their allowance for Free School Meals.

How to use the Restaurant (Biometrics)
At The Bulwell Academy, we use Biometric ID (finger ID) scanning to link students to their payment accounts. Students scan their finger at the till to deduct money from their account.
Parent/carer consent for the use of your child’s Biometric Information will be requested prior to starting at The Bulwell Academy. You can provide consent at any time via Arbor Parent (look for Consents on your child's profile). Please read the Guidance document below for further information.
