Transfers to The Bulwell Academy during the School Year
If you wish your child to transfer to The Bulwell Academy during the current academic year, please complete the online application form on the Nottingham City Council website:
nottinghamcity.gov.uk/inyearadmissions
Please search for The Bulwell Academy when applying.

Transfers from Primary to Secondary School
Admissions to Year 7 for September can be made directly through the Nottingham City Council website.
The Nottingham Schools Admissions Team encourages parents/carers to apply online to save time, money and the environment. A letter detailing the application process will be sent to parents at the beginning of Year 6.

I am responsible for the administration of in-year admissions and the transition of Year 6 students from primary school to secondary school. I have over 25 years’ experience and a wealth of knowledge of admissions. This includes the sharing of information and files so that all admissions run smoothly. During any admissions process, I will be communicating directly with parents and previous schools.

Note: The Bulwell Academy is registered as an 11-18 school. However, the school’s Sixth Form, open to young people from the Academy and other schools, is temporarily closed due to limited applications and courses.
