"I am responsible for the whole school careers and alumni programme. In school, I lead your careers programme from Years 7 to 11 and, when you leave, you become alumni (former students) and can stay in touch with us through our Alumni Network.
I organise whole-school events such as the Careers Fair as well as year group assemblies, workshops and activities."
Your Careers Programme
Here at The Bulwell Academy we believe that your first day at school is the time that you should be really thinking about what you do when you leave. We think that your education is the beginning of your journey to enter the world of work.
All students are entitled to careers education, information, advice and guidance that is impartial and confidential. We believe that students and parents have an entitlement to support with careers.
Each year we have a range of activities that are designed to help you to explore what jobs or industries might be best for you. We invite employers and specialists to come in to school to share their expertise and we organise trips and visits so that you can see the world of work for yourself.
For more information on our Careers Programme, please view the attachments at the bottom of this page. This information is reviewed on an annual basis prior to the beginning of the academic year.
Useful Websites & Resources
As well as making the most of all the opportunities that the Academy offers, it is really important to develop the skills to explore the world of work and future career options online.
We have selected a number of websites and resources that provide detailed information to inform future choices.
