Having grown up in the local community really drives me to want to make a difference to the students in our care. I am passionate about making sure that we break down barriers and create opportunities for young people to be successful both at school and beyond.

I am extremely proud to be working alongside students, parents and staff as we build a new Bulwell Academy!

I worked for 5 years in an International School in Bahrain, before joining The Nottingham Emmanuel School and working as the Director of Achievement, helping the school to achieve its strongest ever GCSE outcomes. More recently I took on the role of Assistant Principal with responsibility for safeguarding, attendance and behaviour at Djanogly City Academy, a role I thoroughly enjoyed and one that gave me the experience required to take on such a pivotal role for behaviour at The Bulwell Academy.

Having joined The Bulwell Academy in September 2023 as Vice Principal for Behaviour, we quickly established a behaviour system that is both reflective and restorative with a focus on building relationships. In January 2024, I became the Acting Head of School before taking over as the substantive Principal from March 2025; a proud moment for myself and my family.
