The Library
Our library is well stocked with over 20,000 books covering all ranges of topics and reading abilities. Our fiction range includes novels, short story collections, poetry, play scripts, graphic novels and manga, while our non-fiction range includes thousands of factual books, biographies, revision guides and university prospectuses.
Opening Times
The library is available at breaks, lunchtimes and after school until 3.15pm. Lunchtime library passes can be collected from the library at breaktime, which ensures that the library is never overcrowded and remains a calm and positive environment.

Using the Library
While using the library, students can read, do homework or play library games such as chess. Sofas provide a comfortable reading corner while circular tables allow for group work and collaboration. A row of computers also allow students to complete homework and other school projects.
The library also hosts:
- Literacy lessons for Years 7 to 9
- Reading intervention groups and
- Bulwell Boost after-school clubs, including 'Board Games' Club and the First Story writing programme.
Borrowing Books
Students are allowed to borrow up to three library books at a time, to be returned after three weeks.
