Letters Home (Re-Opening Details)

Note: Year Groups have different start and finish times and different entry points. Face Coverings must be worn in communal areas. Information is in the letters below.

Back to School Checklist
- Are you uniform ready? Check the Uniform Requirements
- Do you have suitable Face Coverings for wearing in communal areas and on public transport?.
- Have you got a book to read quietly whilst waiting for your next teacher? Bring your own or loan one from our Library.
- Students do not need to bring any equipment – school will provide pens, pencils, etc. (Students can bring their own if they wish.)
- Students must bring their own refillable water bottle – no refreshments on sale.
- Students may bring snacks for break time, although free toast will be provided.
- Have you activated and topped up your child’s ParentPay account? If not, please send your child with a packed lunch or, if entitled, make sure Free School Meals are in place. More info here.
- Have you activated your ClassCharts and SIMS Parent accounts? Details are in your Back to School pack.
- Please make sure you are aware of the revised Attendance Procedures

Reduced Menu & No Cash!
When we return in September, we will be operating a reduced Menu in the Restaurant. We will not be accepting any cash for school lunches which means all parent/carers need to pay online using ParentPay (or by cheque to The Bulwell Academy). ParentPay account details have been sent to all parents/carers. Please top up your child’s account before the return to school.

Update 7 September: We have had to reduce the menu further to allow for meals to be served quickly to students. We are currently updating our ordering procedures, and will be moving to Menu Selection on ParentPay. Further details to follow.
