Academy Improvememt Board

As an Academy, we have an Academy Improvement Board (AIB) made up of Directors of the Trust and members of the local community.

The AIB meets on a regular basis to ensure that:

  • The Academy acts in accordance with its ethos, values and goals
  • All decisions are made in the best interests of the Academy and its pupils
  • Leaders in the Academy are held to account for their decisions and actions
  • Academy funds are appropriately spent, with a clear and transparent audit trail

Our aspiration is for our Academy Improvement Board to be an outstanding model of best practice. This means working with academy leaders to continue with improvements in the provision and outcomes for all students. The support and challenge required will be through an Academy Improvement Board (AIB) and an Academy Council which will be formed in November 2021.

All of the governors who sit on the AIB and Academy Council are appointed by the Creative Education Trust.

All meetings will also be attended by the Principal and members of the Senior Leadership Team as required. Increasingly, middle leaders will be invited to attend to present on their areas of responsibility.

Meetings will be clerked by Tracey Sadler (Clerk to the Bulwell Academy AIB/Academy Council)
