Message from the Principal

Aspire. Work Hard. Be Kind.

I am proud to be Principal of The Bulwell Academy. It is an inspiring place to be, full of hard-working students and dedicated staff.

Quite rarely, I am a teaching Principal and, as such, will be found at `the chalk-face` with my colleagues on a daily basis. This allows me to `feel` the impact of the decisions that my leadership team make and, of course, provides me with the opportunity to continue to strive to become the best teacher I can be.

I am ambitious about what we can achieve by working together with support from parents and carers, and I am excited by the journey that aspires to place The Bulwell Academy amongst the highest-performing schools in the country.

Clear messaging and communication are crucial:

  • We have three simple messages to our children:  we want them to aspire, work hard and be kind.
  • We believe: every child can achieve greatness, fulfil their dreams, and live happy, successful lives
  • We have an unwavering determination to achieve the highest standards of education, pastoral support and safeguarding, providing our students with every opportunity to succeed.

Our insistence on exemplary student behaviour provides strong foundations upon which all can thrive; staff and students alike. Disruption-free classrooms set the stage for excellent, enjoyable and purposeful learning.  But success is not just confined to classrooms. It is forged in theatres, on pitches, tracks, courts, in galleries and beyond.

It is our mission to discover and unleash the potential of every child. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via enquiries@bulwellacademy.org.uk should you have any questions or concerns.
